JULIE ANKER

Say hi to our friend Julie. She met our colleague Julie when they both studied in Peru. Now the two friends and name companions share a flat together in Wedding, Berlin. Julie works as a Sales Manager in an IT company. She is a master of combining her own jewelry with new sparkling treasures in such a delicate way. Julie is the uncrowned queen of the dance floors of Berlin and a great Italian chef! We are lucky, she often visits the JUKSEREI studio, as recently we snapped some pictures of her in the sun.

When do you feel most beautiful?

When I have been good to myself. Sometimes my skin, body and mind need extra attention so a bikram yoga class or a facial treatment from Wheadon help. There’s something meditative about both. Though I’m all swollen and red for a little while after, at least I feel good and I have a new, refreshing radiance. It calms me down after a stressful day.

Any recent cultural discoveries that you would like to share?

I recently discovered the vintage shop Neuzwei in Weserstraße, in Berlin-Neukölln. The vibe is very Scandinavian actually. Everything is carefully selected and you almost doubt that it's vintage because the quality is so good. The store isn’t overloaded like the usual vintage shops and it gives every item enough space to shine. When taking a closer look you realize how unique its selection is.

Whitney Houston – I wanna dance with somebody

What is your favorite JUKSEREI piece?

I love the BRIDGE Hair Clip, it’s so simple and feminine, and it has a bit of a 60's feel to it.
